Attolight is delighted to host Gunnar Kusch for the next session of the Attolight Webinar Series on September 30, from 5:00 to 6:00 PM CET.
Dr. Gunnar Kusch from the University of Cambridge will share his expertise and insights into time- and spatially resolved cathodoluminescence (CL) and its applications for the in-depth characterization of defects and their impact on the optoelectronic properties of semiconductor materials.
Drawing on his experience in advanced electron microscopy and cathodoluminescence spectroscopy, Gunnar will explore how combining nanometre-scale spatial resolution with picosecond-scale temporal resolution can provide new insights into defect-related phenomena across different length and time scales.

Abstract:
7 years of picoseconds and nanometres: Providing time and spatially resolved CL characterisation across the globe
This webinar will cover the experience and insights gained from running a facility with a world wide user base for 7 years. Covering an emission range from the deep UV to the visible and near IR we show the opportunities bestowed by time-resolved cathodoluminescence by enabling in-depth characterisation of the impact of defects on the optoelectronic properties of semiconducting materials. We will discuss examples ranging from elucidating the influence of defect ensembles to the spatial and temporal impact of isolated defects across the full defect hierarchy.
